About TMCF

The Tamborine Mountain Community Foundation Ltd is a newly established initiative dedicated to strengthening community outcomes across the Tamborine Mountain region. It exists to support local projects, programs, and partnerships that enhance social wellbeing, environmental stewardship, and help to build community resilience.

Working collaboratively with existing community groups, local organisations, and donors, the Foundation aims to foster grassroots initiatives and respond to the evolving needs of the region. Its purpose is to invest in opportunities that create lasting, positive impacsts and contribute to a vibrant and connected community.

The Foundation is currently seeking formal recognition as a community charity under the Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) framework administered by the Australian Treasury. This recognition is essential, as it will enable the organisation to apply for DGR endorsement through the Australian Taxation Office. Achieving DGR status will allow supporters to make tax-deductible donations, thus significantly strengthening the Foundation’s ability to attract funding and expand its impact.

While this is underway, we are inviting our community to consider your legacy and be among the first people to help lay the foundations now. We don’t have the luxury of waiting 12 months to start helping people. Early contributions are not just donations—they are an investment in building something enduring for our region: a place of care, dignity, and support for future generations. This will only exist if our community builds it together.

Guided by strong governance, transparency, and a commitment to local priorities, the Tamborine Mountain Community Foundation aspires to become a trusted vehicle for community-led giving and sustainable, long-term positive change.

How to get involved

You may choose to pledge now and fulfill your gift once deductible status is confirmed.

The Foundation will honour its donors through recognition on a virtual donor wall and invitations to key events, including opening celebrations. In addition, significant donors may be offered naming opportunities for specific projects.

Those who give in this founding phase will play a vital role in bringing this vision to life.
